The title of Thomas Pheasant's recently released book Simply Serene really says it all.
Walk (or peek) into any one of his rooms and you can't help but feel instantly calmer, refreshed, more relaxed.
And if his interiors don't do the trick, his tubs are sure to!
We think of Pheasant's aesthetic as not only beautiful but also comfortable and practical. 
We love the way the books are stacked horizontally in the bookcases. I think I'm going to have to try that...
It's no surprise that he has graced Architectural Digest's AD 100 list since 2000. 
Or that they dubbed him "Dean of American Design."
Mom is a great impromptu arrangement maker, but I, sadly, am not. These three stunning orchids make such a statement on the table -- and are something that I could actually do myself in a time crunch! The symmetry in this space is just perfect.
The best thing about Pheasant's rooms are that you can visualize the families that live in them. And they look just right for living. No painful chairs that make children suffer through dinner!
The hint of something fresh in all of these rooms is a reminder that bringing life to a room can literally mean just that. Stems of greenery here, an orchid there... It's a perfect touch.

We could move right in any one of these rooms, which is why we feel it's safe to say that Thomas Pheasant's work is in good taste. Hoping your day is as well!
